How we coincide.
“Sport is an important enabler of sustainable development” and is recognized by the UNOSPD as a growing contributor to development and peace. Evidence has shown that sports directly contributes to 7 SDGs and has a more limited or indirect potential on the others.
Calisthenics is a sport that requires one's own bodyweight and surroundings, providing a fun and sustainable way to stay physically active. It promotes tolerance, respect and provides empowerment to women and young people, individuals, and communities as well as to health, education and social inclusion. It empowers communities, giving them hope, and engendering a spirit of cooperation that leads to a more prosperous society.
Je Suis Calisthenics uses calisthenics as a tool for development. We deliver sustainable development by focusing on our vision “to encourage good health and well-being through calisthenics” - as a result, we directly contribute to 7 of the SDGs.
